I was having trouble breathing, and I thought it was my imagination,  as when I relaxed and focused on writing (which has been what saved me during the worst times) it seemed to get better. I would run short of breath after a flight of stairs. It really is scary! Anyhow I do feel quite alot better now. Take care!! |

So ur saying that ur better now of benzo'z breathing or ur more anxious in breathing?? Skeet ;D

I just feel normal, healthy and happy and able to breath normaly. When I was going through the coldturkey w/d. and for quite a while as I was adjusting to the Valium, I had some trouble breathing, and when you can't breath nothing else matters! Talk about scary! I later learned that it was a symptom of w/d so I am going to be doing a jump off the Valium in a few weeks or more, and I am so sacred that the w/d will come back and then I will have trouble breathing again, as it is a symptom for some of us. sigh... |

hi faith ok..sorry for the misunderstandin..I thought u where of benzo's but are having trouble breathing..I know that being on them can cause breathing problems 2..and coughing did for me but also the flipside when u taper of them i get the worst anxiety therefore it feels like i cant breath but in actual fact its just anxiety due to W/D !! perhaps that makes more sense..lol gosh see even im tapering my poor brain!! Benzo's r awfull things..worst then H i reckon..anyhow what ru down to now Faith? Im on 2mg..apparently its how long u took them and how frequent that counts..not the dosage..I've been on them 10yrs..but 2mg is a good effort..hope ur managing ok..theyre so hard to come off regards skeet |

I just got down to 1 mg the other day, yesterday I cheated and went back up to 1.25 mgs but I was feeling crappy...so I cheated. I have cheated like that every time I did a cut back, and it seems to help keep me stable.
I was on imovane for 2 yrs. and Valium, ativan and afew others on top of the imovane for 8 months.
